Proposal and Quote

One site, two doors: order the food, or book the catering

Prepared for David. A custom site for your local cook nights and your catering, run from a single dashboard. Regulars order arepas while you are open and pay on the spot. Catering clients request a date and put down a deposit. You turn ordering on and off yourself.

Investment

A startup-friendly build, priced to grow with you.

Build (one time)
$2,500
Both flows in English and Spanish, Square payments, your menu, and launch. Paid 50% to start, 50% at launch.
Care and hosting
$99 / month
Hosting, security, backups, menu and price changes, and support. Month to month, cancel anytime.
Optional add-on

Social media, kept simple

5 to 6 simple posts each month to keep your page active: this week's cook, a new arepa, an upcoming catering date. You approve, I post.

The two doors

Different for your customers. One system for you.

Door 1

Order from the kitchen

Your cook nights, live.

  • Your arepas and every variation, with photos and prices
  • Flip ordering Open or Closed yourself, or set it to open on a schedule (say, Fridays 5 to 9)
  • Tap any item Sold Out the moment a filling runs out
  • Show tonight's location so regulars know where to find you
  • Customers order as guests, no account to make, leaving a name and phone, then pay by card through Square
  • Get a confirmation and a live status link that updates as you cook, so they know the moment it is ready for pickup
Door 2

Catering and events

Booked ahead, on your terms.

  • Clients pick a date and tell you the event, headcount, and details
  • You review and send back a custom quote
  • A deposit locks the date; the balance is due before the event
  • A signed event agreement is stored with every booking
  • Nothing auto-confirms, so you approve every event

In English and Spanish, on both sides

Both sides are fully bilingual, not just the menu. The customer ordering side and your kitchen order board each switch between English and Spanish with one tap, on their own. Your customers order in whichever they prefer. You work the board, catering, and history in Spanish, while Matt sees the very same screens in English, so nothing is ever lost between the two of you. Every confirmation and status update reaches each customer in their own language. Built in from the first day, not translated on at the end.

Run both from one place

A closer look at the cook nights

What your customers tap, and what you see while you cook, shown the way you each use it: the customer side in English, your kitchen side in Spanish. Sample menu shown; yours goes in its place.

Each new order pings you and lands at the top of the board, already paid. You tap Start cooking when you fire it, Mark ready when it is up, and Hand off when it is in their hands, which clears the ticket. You always see the name, the exact order, and any special requests, so nothing gets lost on a busy night. And nothing disappears when the night is over: every handed-off ticket moves into your history, where you can reopen it anytime to review the order or answer a question.

How it works, end to end

A quick wireframe pass through both journeys, start to finish. Rough sketches of the flow, not the final look.

Why not just use the free Square page?

Square's built-in page can post a basic menu, but it cannot take a catering request, send a quote, or hold a deposit, and it looks like every other Square shop. This is the custom site you liked, shaped around how you actually work: an ordering switch you control and a real catering pipeline the free tools do not have. You pay Square's normal card fee, about 2.9% plus 30 cents, and no commission or middleman on top.

What the monthly covers

Every line, so you know exactly what you are paying for.

Keeping it running

Keeping it current

When you need me

Requests are folded into the plan at no extra cost. Anything brand new, the kind of thing listed below, is always quoted first, so there is never a surprise on your bill. If the business ever grows to very high volume and the underlying services move off their free tiers, we talk about it before anything changes.

Built to grow with you

This price launches both doors now. As the business picks up, natural add-ons, for example a loyalty punch for regulars, gift cards, a second pickup location, or text-message alerts to customers when an order is ready, are quoted separately at $95 per hour, so you only ever pay for what you actually need, when you need it.
